Start by asking God to help you understand why unity is so important. Praying for unity in the body of Christ is a great way to start strengthening your own prayer life and helping others grow too! We also see that it’s important for Christians to pray for each other (Philippians 1:9-11). The Bible says that we should be praying for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Prayer is the power that brings unity to spiritual growth. They don’t know what to say or how to say it. Most people aren’t sure how to pray when they first start. You’ll also learn about different forms of prayer that are mentioned in the Bible: meditation, contemplation, petitioning God for something specific (like healing), adoration (loving God with all your heart), thanksgiving (giving praise back to God), making requests from God (like guidance), and asking forgiveness from God when we’ve done wrong. What Bible studies can you run to help support small groups?
